There are 8 teams competing in the Counter-Strike Wireplay QGL 2000 Finals.
Other Counter-Strike Sections:
Members: [SAS]Sgt.StreX, [SAS]General.JaX, [SAS]Mirage, [SAS]Trinity, [SAS]Sprinkles. Clan Age: 1 year old. Clan's Favourite Map: de_jeepathon2k. Who will win the CS comp: The guys who don't get caught cheating. Clan Info: Founded by Sgt.StreX as a clan primarily for people serving in the Australian Defence Force, SAS has grown to become a strong and consistant clan. Win or lose, SAS will be around for a long time to come. Most Memorable Clan Moment: Having two SAS teams in the competition that finished the day undefeated.
Members: Pixem, Snoopy, Lamo, Theoder, Drail, New, Korbs, Nath, Simul. Clan Age: 2 Years Old (all original members intact). Clan's Favourite Map: de_jeepathon2k or siege beta 4/5 version. Who will win the CS comp: If not us, we hope Wired or CFU do :) Clan Info: Formed as an excuse to team up on dm17, and out of three letters with no
particular significance, TPM was started sometime in 1999. Rising to infamy
on the QGL q3test server, through both gaming prowess, general stupidity,
and a web page that ownz0red j00, they bided our time watching the career of
young actress Natalie Portman (who unfortunately later proved to be a sko).
With the release of the q3demo, and their distaste of bright colours, TPM was
swayed to the dark side by a deviant member experimenting with a new
substance called 'CS'.
Most Memorable Clan Moment: In the middle of a cs war Theoder spilt coke on his keyboard which totally rooted it. After attempts at pulling it apart and drying it in the toilets worked for only a few keys, expect asd being all one key, time was being wasted. They then and had to get Simul and Nath to drive to QCG and buy a new one while he borrowed Simul's.
Members: Toolbox, WAZ, JB, Barak, Nikolai, Myrax, Sirius. Clan Age: 10 Months (Started February 2000). Clan's Favourite Map: Miltia or Dust. Who will win the CS comp: SAS have a proven track record - might be hard to beat :) Clan Info: RATC are a group of school mates who like to play CS for kicks. Most Memorable Clan Moment: Beating CFu by coming from behind by at least 5 rounds.
Members: lain, bah, asper, davoaldo, kitten, nin, belial, fats. Clan Age: 11 months (started January 2000). Clan's Favourite Map: cs_italy. Who will win the CS comp: SAS or CFu. Clan Info: Nothing much really. Most Memorable Clan Moment: Flogging SAS, twice no less (even though this was at a QGL season 2 A lan but who cares). Otherwise, nothing memorable.
Members: Champ, JayMan, Pete, WhiteLighter, Jack. Clan Age: 2 ¾ years. Clan's Favourite Map: de_dust. Who will win the CS comp: SAS, if not LHM. Clan Info: The clan was established in the summer of 1997, when they discovered networking. Most Memorable Clan Moment: Getting into the QGL Finals.
Members: Factor X, Knossos, Badkarma, scooby, resilient. Clan Age: 9 months (started March 2000). Clan's Favourite Map: cs_docks. Who will win the CS comp: wired. Clan Info: They have no web page.... Most Memorable Clan Moment: Well, this one time...
Members: Too many to name them all. Clan Age: 9 months old (started March 2000). Clan's Favourite Map: cs_militia. Who will win the CS comp: Probably those SAS fellas. Clan Info: j0r made up a CS team because they were bored. Most Memorable Clan Moment: None.
Members: Skurj, Posty, Ross, Mick, Nic, Yarris, Mantra, Jolli, Mass, Psycho, Zephron and Nats. Clan Age: SAS originally formed in April 1997; they're perhaps Brisbane's second oldest clan behind the venerable TLG. In January 1999, they became SA. Clan's Favourite Map: de_dust. Who will win the CS comp: SAS, for sure. They have excellent skills, but more importantly great teamwork. Clan Info: SA have played through Quake CTF, Quake2 CTF, and now Counter-Strike. A few of their members also play Quake3 and Unreal Tournament. SA are relatively quiet right now; they haven't played an online match for over a year - just kick back at LANs every month or so. Most Memorable Clan Moment: Playing against the '2nd' SAS team was probably the most memorable; it gave the guys a real indication of what competitive CS is all about. |
