Real Name: Andrew Whannel Age: 20 Favourite Weapons: Yeah I'm loving the lightning gun :) Why do you like these weapons?: Feel very confident with it over the other weapons and it feels so sweet just to hear that infinite beep that it gives off when u r laying down the schmack with it.. Doesn't happen to often but feels good when it does. Favourite Map: Q3DM6 (TMP Modified) / Q3Tourney2 Why do you like this map?: Love the lightning usage :) dm6 is an awesome map.. have always liked it.. feels like the q2dm1 of q3 :) T2 is just mad for rape against newbies. Other Comments: Yeah its not as fun as it used to be but I've had way less time to play around with it lately.. Too many changes and not enuf good maps.. would have been good otherwise.. especially if they implemented limpzmode hehe.. cant wait for the finals.. should be good fun :) But its taking its time.. that's for sure

Real Name: Sven Lowe Age: 19 Favourite Weapons: nawt really... rocket is j0r... boomy is j0r... umm so is rail, plasm0r and shawft!... nades are gay, well, not that gay... spamming is fun on dm13 and u can do some real clever shit wif em :P ... oh yeah machiney rawkz too... can really cut someone up with it when they're not expecting... its just whatever weapon will dish the most damage in a given situation really!... heh :P~~ Why do you like these weapons?: cos they kill stuff good man... rocket are my favourite i guess... the reason is cos imo they take the most skill... especially stuff like air rockets and speccy rockets... firing off a rocket at a spot ur certain ur opponent will be at 3/4's of a map away and hearing a resounding *meep* 3-5 seconds after u fire is farking rad!... Favourite Map: Q3DM13 (TMP) / Q3DM6 (TMP) / Q3Tourney2 / Q3Tourney4 Why do you like this map?: they're all fkn rad!... dm13 is prolly my fav but i still like em all... dm13 cos its bigger than most and theres lots of items to control and u can do a lot of funky and clever shit with regard to item timing and stuff... the thing i love about duels is the mental battle!... outwitting ur opponent, knowing exactly where he or she (heh, i wish!) is going and what route they're taking... good duels are not unlike a game of chess played at high peed and relying on killer reflexes and hand-eye coordination too... a good player will know exactly where their opponent is at all times, where they plan to go next, their health, what weapons they have etc!... heh, i hope to maybe get to this stage soon :P ... so yer, its all a big mind game!!! Other Comments: Well i just hope a whole lot of ppl who've never seen q3 being played at this level will come down and check it out!... i want

Favourite Map: Q3DM13 (TMP Modified) / Q3Tourney4 Why do you like this map?: I like t4 if I'm railing well on the day, and I just prefer dm13 to the other two. Other Comments: Metal is my t4 bitch :p

Real Name: David McKinnon Age: 30 Favourite Weapons: No preferences. I try to use the most appropriate weapon for the situation I find myself in. One of the good things about Quake3 is that all the weapons are useful. Just watch a Fatality demo for evidence of this. Why do you like these weapons?: As above. Favourite Map: Q3DM13 (TMP Modified), Q3Tourney2 Why do you like this map?: I like the resource management aspects of dm13 and t2. Timing the armours offsets my lack of mad skills :) Other Comments: I'm looking forward to the finals. A lot of the players have improved considerably since the qualifying rounds so I think Limps and Boba are going to have some real competition.
Real Name: Mahamed Abduul Billy Bob Age: 21 Favourite Weapons: All of them used with each other. Why do you like these weapons?: Cuz they hurt enemies. Favourite Map: Q3DM6 (TMP Modified) / Q3Tourney2 / Q3Tourney4 Why do you like this map?: Cuz they're good. Other Comments: 15 Minutes per map, the Grand final should be best of three played in numerical order, i.e. q3tourney2, q3tourney4 then q3dm6(TMP). Also I believe that all games played in the Q3 Duel Comp should have g_forcerespawn "5" rather than the default "20". Makes games more exciting & less lame near the last minutes of a duel.
Real Name: Tony Vandermeer Age: Old enough to be your dad! Favourite Weapons: In t4 I like to use the plasmagun in case I'm being outrailed (which is most of the time) err in dm13 the lightning gun. Why do you like these weapons?: Even over a distance the lightning gun can help get rid of the tanked out opponents advantage. I like it over a big distance just in case I gotta run. A good equaliser! Favourite Map: Q3DM13 (TMP Modified) / Q3Tourney4 Why do you like this map?: Dm13 -A bit more strategy then aim. T4- fast aggressive yet well designed so a defensive player like moi can regroup after a heavy attack from some railmeister. Other Comments: The finals venue better be air conditioned or my o/c celeron 333 is gunna blow. Also, match fixing is rife!! I've been approached by 2 senior QGL officials who asked me to play left handed and blindfolded. hah Sif that would give me a worse result. :p

How about we all go play quake, quake2 or better yet, doom2!

Why do you like these weapons?: Because it'll make me look really caw if I do manage to get an humiliation kill. Favourite Map: bwahaha. dmmq3dm5b (Which isn't in the finals btw - ed) Why do you like this map?: Because no one else has played it much either. Other Comments: Q3 sucks. :)
Real Name: Aaron Booth Age: 17 Favourite Weapons: Not really, it mainly depends on the situation, but in ra3 i like the rocket launcher :) Why do you like these weapons?: Because when im running around i like shooting at my team mates and bouncing them all around, haha Favourite Map: I suck at them all... but I like q3dm13, probably the one I suck at the most! Why do you like this map?: This map makes you think the most, you have to control certain places and there are a hell of alot of ways you can go Other Comments: Yeah :) Why don't Queenslanders get into Promode! hahah. (I know my clan is gonna kill me for saying that ;-P) I just hope the finals run as smoothly as possible and also that quake 3 ownz cs. Muhaha

Real Name: George Fullerton Age: Classified Favourite Weapons: All of them, perferably if they're pointed in the direction of my opponent. However my personal preference is for weapon combo kills, you know, bounce with the rocket, gibb with the Rail... Stuff like that. It doesn't always happen, but when it does, I'm doing a lap of the building... Why do you like these weapons?: Next question... Favourite Map: Q3DM6 (TMP Modified) / Q3Tourney2 / Q3Tourney4 Why do you like this map?: They're all good, except for DM13, which isn't even a tourney map. I mean a map is a map. Who cares, my favourite map of all time was BlueHeaven by RivKid, we need a conversion done pronto. But yeah, as a personal preference, DM6 by a fair margin. Why? cause you're not constantly getting respawn raped, that's why... Well, sometimes, maybe... ain't that right Guv? Other Comments: Um, yeah, I'd like to say a big thanks to Nats and the whole QGL possie for putting up with my widging and bitching for two weeks before they agreed that I'd look like a bigger turkey by actually being in this event.
